On the one hand if you are looking for a secluded RV site, outside town and away from the noise and bustle that offers a great view, fresh air and wide open skies…La Vista is for you! We enjoyed all of the foregoing aspects of the park very much. For a small park they have a nice, clean and well maintained little common building that, for a site park, is more than adequate with 2 showers per gender, one clothes washer, one clothes dryer, and a nice recreation room.
Sites are mostly downhill, gravel, but are workable. All are long and will more than accommodate a big rig.
Equipped with sinks, toilets and showers, many RVs provide all the comforts of home. Contained in large holding tanks, RV waste water is usually emptied into a sewer drain with a flexible plastic hose.

How to connect to RV Park sewer line Staying at a RV Park comes with paying a fee and provides you with access to water, electric and sewer connection. There is a right way and a wrong way to connect your RV to the sewer line.
Where I live, my neighbor was told he could not stay in a camp trailer that was parked on one of my lots next to a small house he was repairing, which is also on my lot. The neighbor lady who owns a house across the street called code enforcement on him. She also told them I was letting him live rent free in the small house as he was fixing it up. A state inspector came to my door and started asking questions about what was going on in my rental house.
I asked him “who wanted to know”, he looked at me funny and gave me his business card. I pointed at the street and said “right now you are standing on private property”, “what goes on down at that house is none of your business”, He started talking and I interrupted him and told him I knew the laws and I wasn’t doing anything illegal, and that I wouldn’t discuss it with him. He left, and I never heard any more from him.

Only 8 sites remain for sale! The development will have 36 deeded RV sites. The sites range in size from 1, square feet up to 3, square feet. The development will include paved roads with curbing and landscaping.
Marine-type RV commodes do not have a p-trap or a siphon pipe that blocks sewer gasses, nor do they actually flush the waste. When you open the flap valve of an RV commode, the waste evacuates from the bowl by gravity, not the siphoning action present in residential commodes.
Generally I’m not overly impressed with campgrounds in the Thousand Trail system. But this one is different and not the norm. This is the best TT campground we have every been to. The roads are in good condition and paved! The facilities are well maintained. Grass is green and mowed. There are lots of annuals here. Most RVs are well maintained. The more shabby ones seem to concentrated in the H section. I went online to make a reservation. But during that process I was informed if I wanted to reserve a 50 amp site I would have to contact the campground directly.

RV holding tank odors are caused by sewer gas known as Hydrogen Sulfide. This is the natural result of waste products as they are breaking down in both the gray and the black water holding tanks. Standard stack pipe vent caps are designed to prevent water and debris from entering the pipe. On windy days, or when the RV is in motion, they can allow, or even cause, air to be forced down the stack pipe.
Odors are then forced into the RV through plumbing traps and worn seals. Formaldehyde based deodorizers may temporarily reduce odors, but they actually stop the natural breakdown process. Neither of them will prevent holding tank pressure from forcing odors and toxic Hydrogen Sulfide into the RV living space. By replacing the existing vent caps with the Siphon, you permanently solve the odor problem.
Not with chemicals, but with natural outside air movement.
Dealing with no RV hookups Jun 30, , 5: It’s past time the Yosemite management realized that and got their head out of the sand. Modern life includes RVs. All it would take would be the installation of some decent electrical service to the campgrounds which accept RVs. The lines could of course be run underground, so the “pristine beauty” would not be disturbed.
But just adding electricity would immediately alleviate the long-running discord between the RVers and the tent campers.
May 09, · Posted By: bobandgeri on 05/08/07 am We want to migrate from using a flexble sewer hose to a permanent sewer hookup with rigid PVC pipe. Are there specific adapters made to connect the bayonet conector on the dump valve with the PVC pipe?
It is designed to both dump your RV waste and to flush your waste system with clean water. The SewerSolution pump and hose are completely self-cleaning! We all share the problem of sewage disposal when on the road. The hose is messy, the pipes are polluted and there is plenty to see and smell!! The SewerSolution eliminates the hassles! You can dump sewage without getting your hands dirty or getting near exposed sewage. Simple and easy to use, the SewerSolution is a great convenience for the traveling RV.
This is nothing but neat!

The instructors are employed by Camping World as Good Will representatives. We love self-containment, but we hate sewer hoses, dump stations, etc. But a septic system is the living example of “it’s a dirty job, but somebody’s got to do it. Most of us starting camping in a tent, with no facilities whatsoever.
The ultimate solution became the self-contained RV. This reflects the fact there’s a lot of sales revenue related to septic sales.
